Solo for a bear
2020

When you are a bear in the circus, life does not always brighten your face.
You do what you are told.
At night you imagine you know how to dance.
You're trying to imagine your mother too.
They tell you you're heavy.
Obviously I'm heavy,
I'm a bear.

A solo for an orphan bear who escaped from the circus.
This piece explores the body's physical constraints and serves as an autobiographical canvas where emotions and traumas are inscribed.
The performance critically examines the systematic exclusion of marginalized bodies from public spaces.
Simultaneously, it subverts this exclusion by creating a transformative space where the body—often deemed "inappropriate"—can re-appropriate the public space by openly expressing its pain, shame, and courage.
