Nurit Dreamer

Never Ending Mourning
2024

A fable about the wondrous, endless movement of grief.

One bright day, when Nurit was a little girl, her mother died. Over the years, her loss reappeared in countless moments and human encounters, remaining mostly private and isolating her from others.
With meticulous detective work, Nurit has retraced key characters from her personal story of loss and invited them to join her on stage. Each has her own story to tell. With a unique artistic language and the ability to look at life's most complex aspects with humor, Nurit breaks down the wall of loneliness that comes with grief, weaving together a larger narrative connecting these women, their different losses, and moments of private mourning.
A feminine web of memories, performances, and coincidences is miraculously woven on stage. This is a symphony of stories that creates deep human solidarity out of loneliness and pain, playing out the possibility that grief, like life, is always moving forwards.
